QR Codes in the classroom

Don't miss out on the QR code of this blog!

Potential uses of QR codes in the classroom:

1. Fill-in-the-gaps activity with audio encrypted in the QR code.

2. It can be involved to provide clues so that students complete reading comprehension tasks.

3. It can be used to generate descriptions of pictures or processes and add it next to them.

4. It can be added to students' handouts with links to Youtube videos for postlesson reviews.

5. The teacher can include a QR code to a full-color picture in a handout instead of printing it in black & white.

Complete the reading on the piece of news "Glass Bridge in China":

Glass bridge in China
Not for the faint-hearted! A glass bridge has been erected in China and people are already taking a crack at it. Brave volunteers and staff thrashed sledgehammers down onto the glass bottom bridge beneath them to test the strength and sturdiness of the structure. And with the bridge being suspended a whopping 300 metres above ground that definitely took some guts.Israeli Haim Dotan is the chief architect behind the project, which its creators claim is the largest glass bridge of its kind in the world.
The courageous volunteers were harnessed to the side of the bridge as a precaution but reassuringly none of them managed to break through the glass. And just to drive the point home, a 15-tonne SUV was then driven over the glass just to, er, hammer in its strength.

Using Padlet in the classroom

Hi there!

The activity I have designed on padlet can be accessed through the following link:

https://padlet.com/miquelangel_fuentes/j5w27i48dz9i

As you can see, students are meant to follow the instructions and write about their favourite thing answering the set of questions provided in the description.

· What is it?
· What is it made of?
· Can you describe it?
· What is its use?
· Why is it your favourite thing?
· Add a nice picture!

Link for grammar practice

The website I have chosen is

http://www.usingenglish.com/

It is aimed for both students and teachers.
The section for students provides English Tests covering beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, with a wide variety of grammar and vocabulary activities, tips on essay writing, and links to online dictionaries, etc.
Free grammar and vocabulary handouts, online quizzes, and lesson plans are available in the teacher section.

Welcome to my blog!

Hi there!

I hope you find the tracking of this experience interesting!

Best regards,
